Michael Jackson, the King of Pop has died from Cardiac Arrest.  News organizations are trying to confirm the death at this time, but it is my fealing that he collapsed and was keept in a state in which his family could rush to his side before he was let go.  So right now he is in a Comma, but the best is not about to come out.  The full story is available at Glossless.

 On the same day, we have the most lovable Angel passing.  Farrah Fawcett, 62, passed away this morning at 9:38 am PST.

California Tax Payers are going to pay the bill for someone that has a strikingly scary resemblance to our favorite mother Angelina Jolie.  The Life & Style Weekly had this great comparison and in depth article about the obsession.

But what is going to effect us is the cost of the births.  Per AP, they estimate the cost could run up to $1.3 million from birth to release from the hospital.  Given the state of the economy and the the budget shortfall in California, I am not sure we can afford these 8 babies.  Should we now do a cost analysis for every birth to figure out if this will be a burden?  These are the questions that come up when this type of behavior is encouraged in this country.

BREAKING NEWS - Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire Withdraws from being Commerce Secratary.  In an about face to the Obama administration, Sen Gregg says Thanks but No Thanks to being in charge of commerce for the United States. 

This is a big blow to Obama and his administration as it sends a signal of No Confidence to his Stimulus plan and also his bi-partisian stance on his administration.

Now what is going to happen in the senate?  Is this an opportunity for the Republicans to gain momentum again and fend off the democrats in the Stimulus plan?

“Gregg… abruptly withdrew his nomination as commerce secretary Thursday, citing “irresolvable conflicts” with President Barack Obama’s handling of the economic stimulus and 2010 census. “We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy,”

Here is President Obama’s first press conference brought to you by MSNBC.  As you notice his long winded answers, his advisers need to make sure he does not continue to stretch things out.  He just kept on going like the Energizer Bunny.  We all know that he is bright and know his stuff, but he needs to be brief and to the point.  Something I have always had to deal with myself.

If we are to assume that Barack Obama is selected to run as the Democratic candidate in the 2008 Presidential Election, who will he select as his Vice President and possible successor?  We must examine the character of our candidates and also their second in command. 

Given we know very little about Obama and his support group and the fact that he is currently supporting a radical voice from his church, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., what candidate pool will the Vice President be selected from?

Since his speech, he has been trying to get the campaign back on track by focusing on the real subjects at hand such as Iraq.  But we must look at his charachter and circle of advisors who will be joining him in the White House.  Once again during this election, President Bush and his circle of Friends/Cronie, i.e. Rumsfeld, Cheny, Scooter Libey, Carl Rove et all, were called into question and yet we must not let Barack Obama and his advisor’s off the hook.

This is supposed to be the Presidential Election of Change, yet the spiritual advisors for the change candidate takes us back to an era of racism.

Unfortunately for all, we will not know who Obama will select as his Vice President until he is selected as the Presidential Candidate.  Will that be too late?

 

Back to real news and a break from Eliot Spitzer.

Today Barack Obama came out condeming  Rev. Jeremiah Write Jr. and his comments about whites and his tone against african Americans.  Obama was not expected to bring race into this campaign, but he was left with no option.  Obama also talked about how his white grandmother was also afraid of black men passing by her on the street and her racial comments.

“I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community,” Obama said during his speech. “I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother — a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.”

So is Barack Obama supporting Rev. Jeremiah Write Jr. and his statments about how Americans were at fault in the 911 attack?  This is a thin line to support someone who raised him to be good, but also someone who is Anti-American!
